Local Data Storage
All your data is stored exclusively on your device (browser storage or app storage). Nothing is transmitted to us. Under Settings → My data you can export or delete everything.

Delivery via Cloudflare
The web app (app.heilige-schrift.mignuti.com), the app's website (heilige-schrift.mignuti.com) and the Bible texts and recordings the installed app downloads are delivered on our behalf by Cloudflare, Inc. (San Francisco, USA) (Art. 28 GDPR). For every request Cloudflare technically processes your IP address, the requested address, the time and the browser identifier in order to deliver the files and fend off attacks. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in secure, fast delivery (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR); you may object under Art. 21 GDPR. We have not switched on any access logs or statistics and do not receive this data. Cloudflare is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (Art. 45 GDPR); the standard contractual clauses in Cloudflare's data processing agreement apply in addition.
External connections only as a fallback
Luther 1912, the World English Bible and the King James Version ship inside the app and load offline. The remaining of the 34 translations are fetched only at your request, once, from Cloudflare (R2, stored in the EU) into the app's own storage; in the browser every text comes from our own site, also via Cloudflare. Cloudflare learns your IP address and the requested file, i.e. which book is loaded; no cookies are set. For Bible texts the app contacts no other service. There is no server of our own that stores your data.
Audio bible
The audio bible's recordings are stored with Cloudflare (R2, located in the European Union). The app asks there for the list of available recordings; a recording itself is loaded only when you play or download it. Cloudflare learns your IP address and the requested file, i.e. which chapter you listen to; no cookies are set. Loaded chapters stay in the app's storage until you delete them in the settings. The voice Luka is synthetic and was recorded on our own computer; none of your data is processed for it.
“Read first” app lock (optional, Android only)
If you enable the app lock, the app uses the Android permission “Usage access” to detect which app is in the foreground and “Display over other apps” for the lock screen. This information is evaluated locally only, never stored and never transmitted. Screen content is not read. Your reading time per day and the list of locked apps are stored locally on your device.
Reminders (optional)
Reminders are scheduled as local notifications directly on your device. There is no server, no push service and no transmission. Time, content type and on/off are stored locally.
Purchases (optional)
The audio bible and “Support” are handled exclusively by Google Play or the Apple App Store under their privacy terms; the app itself only learns whether a purchase exists and stores that locally. There is no account and no server of our own. At start the app asks the store for existing purchases so the audio bible is available again after a reinstall. In the browser, “Support” leads to an external payment page that opens only when tapped.
No Tracking
This app uses no cookies, no analytics tools, no tracking, and no advertising. Your quiet time belongs to you alone.
Your Rights
You can view, export and delete all data on your device at any time under Settings → My data. Towards us you have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction and objection (Art. 15–18 and 21 GDPR). Since we keep no accounts and do not see the technical data at Cloudflare, we usually cannot link it to you. You may contact the address in the legal notice and a data protection authority at any time (Art. 77 GDPR).
Section 25 TDDDG – storage on your device
Storing data in your device’s local storage is technically necessary to provide the functions you explicitly request (bookmarks, settings, reading time). No consent is required under Section 25(2) No. 2 TDDDG (formerly TTDSG). No cookies are set.
