Read first
Choose the apps that usually get you first. They will not open until you have read today — five, ten, fifteen, twenty or thirty minutes, you set it.
Until then the phone shows a quiet page instead of the feed, with one button: open the Bible. For emergencies there is an exception twice a week. Android only; the lock runs entirely on the device and sends nothing anywhere.
Quiet time
A timer for five to thirty minutes of reading or prayer. The screen goes dark and still, a verse rests on it, the light breathes slowly.
At the end no gong, just a gentle fade — and a short vibration if you want one. The time is yours; the app keeps no score.
Audio bible
The whole Bible read aloud, calmly, with no music and no commentary. A chapter heard to the end counts as read, and the app offers the next one.
The 150 psalms are free to hear. The remaining chapters cost €9.90 once. Downloaded, everything plays without a connection — on the train and on holiday.
Widget and share card
The widget sets the psalm of the day on your home screen like a page from a book — Literata, a gold numeral, paper or night. It turns over by itself shortly after midnight.
And any verse becomes a picture to pass on: story, square or portrait, light or night, typeset on your device. No server hears of it.
